Anora was the big winner during the 2025 Oscars, including honors for Best Picture. But movies' most important night was a major opportunity for advertisers, too. Data from iSpot shows the full list below of brands airing during the live ceremony on ABC, along with some top-line takeaways:
- Of course, it was a big night for promos – networks (ABC, FX) led the way with 4.25 minutes of ads during the event, while streaming services (Disney+, Hulu) tallied three minutes, which was tied for the No. 2 industry.
- As a whole, pharmaceuticals accounted for seven minutes of advertising, split across a variety of sub-industries like weight loss drugs (three minutes), health information (1.25 minutes), depression (one minute), cancer (one minute) and gastrointestinal (0.75) brands.
- Automakers contributed 2.5 minutes of advertising, between Volkswagen, Mazda, Volvo and Audi.
