Cough and cold medicine Vicks was the most seen over-the-counter or prescription pharmaceutical brand on TV in December, according to iSpot.tv data recently shared with MM+M. Vicks ads had a 7.17% impressions share of voice for the month, notably ahead of the No. 2 brand Rinvoq (4.26% share of voice).
Some additional insights around the most-seen pharma brands in December:
- Rounding out the top five as ranked by impressions share of voice were Mucinex (4.25% SOV), Dupixent (4.22%) and Skyrizi (2.50%).
- Although it was in fourth place for December, looking at 2022 as a whole, Dupixent was the top OTC/Rx pharma brand by impressions share of voice.
- Broadcast networks delivered top impressions shares for six of the top ten brands, with CBS leading as the top network by impressions share for Vicks (19.16% SOV).
