LG Ad Solutions recently completed its Inclusive Screen Series to provide better representation and research around diverse audiences' TV preferences and trends. The first of those, focused on Black CTV users, sheds light on everything from preferred content genres, to ad attention, what spurs purchase decisions, and more.

  • LG Ad Solutions found that 66% of Black CTV users prefer streaming TV (vs. traditional TV via cable, satellite or broadcast).
  • 68% of Black CTV users prefer streaming free video content with ads (vs. paid subscription), while 65% watch free ad-supported streaming for 2+ hours per week.
  • 63% of Black CTV users feel streaming TV ads are more relevant (vs. traditional TV ads), and 50% pay more attention to ads while streaming.
  • Data from Black CTV users also revealed they were more likely to take actions and purchase after seeing streaming ads.
