The start of another Donald Trump presidency was part of a big month for the cable network on social video in January according to Tubular Labs. Between Trump coverage, the Los Angeles fires and more current events, Fox News:

  • Uploaded over 2K videos across YouTube and Facebook – and generated over 341 million U.S. minutes watched in the process.
  • Increased U.S. watch-time across those platforms month-over-month by 90% – its highest figure in the last 13 months (and a nearly 3x increase since Jan. 2024).
  • Nearly doubled the minutes-watched for the next cable news network, and was ranked No. 7 among all U.S. entertainment & media creators by U.S. minutes-watched.

As the network’s linear TV audience is also finding success leaning into Trump initiatives and messaging, the same strategy seems to be working on social video as a secondary option for viewers.
