The 2024 U.S. presidential election may be seven months out, but with Joe Biden and Donald Trump largely locked in as the candidates, the campaign trail is already heating up – including on social video, as Tubular Labs dives into.

  • Tubular found that Trump has almost 2X as many YouTube views around election topics as Biden (while views are split about 53.3% to 46.6% in favor of Trump on Facebook).
  • When we look at those watching U.S. presidential election content about Trump and Biden on YouTube, men make up about 77% of all US presidential viewership.
  • Almost 30% of Biden’s YouTube audience also watched content about Gun Control in September 2023 after he established the first-ever White House Office of Gun Control Prevention to address the gun violence plaguing the country.
  • Over the past year, an average of 36% of Donald Trump’s YouTube audience also watched videos about Freedom of Speech.
