Tegna Finds New Audience Growth On Social Video
Tubular Labs recently announced its findings from last month of top trends among media companies, brands and creators across YouTube and Facebook. One point that stood out, in particular, was Tegna’s rapid growth in viewership in the last month of summer. Tubular found:
- In Aug. 2023, Tubular Audience Ratings show Tegna’s U.S. unique viewers grew by 43% month-over-month across Facebook and YouTube, in part due to an emphasis on crime-related content (many of the most-watched videos across networks).
- The summer surge took Tegna all the way up to No. 9 among all U.S. media and entertainment properties, just shy of Warner Music at No. 8.
- Tegna also saw U.S. minutes watched climb significantly month-over-month, increasing 62% across Facebook and YouTube.
