Tax Season Starts Early For TurboTax This Year
TurboTax typically sits out ads from June-December and concentrates its TV focus on Jan.-April (May during peak COVID years). But this year, they're putting significant focus on fall advertising (and even have a new spot already with Adam Devine), as data from iSpot details.
- The brand's recent airings are its first real ad push during Q3 and early Q4 since at least 2018, and some of the only ones to air during Q3 or Q4 at all since 2018, too.
- At over $14.3 million, Q3 and Q4 est. national linear TV ad spend for TurboTax this year already surpasses 2018-23 combined.
- Even in these previous years where there was "some" Q3/Q4 ad spend, it was almost exclusively concentrated on Dec. 26-31.
