Here's a look at the top 25 networks by viewership share for September 2-8 — head over to TVREV to see the program ranking and get insights about the top shows by watch-time.
NBC is squarely in first place for TV network watch-time, with its 10.62% viewership share fueled largely by Sunday Night Football and college football games. Fox and CBS also benefited from the football action: Fox moves from No. 5 to No. 2 week-over-week, while CBS takes third place (up from No. 4 previously).
A few more highlights around the top TV networks:
- ABC, which was No. 1 the previous week, falls to No. 4. Programming contributing to its 5.75% viewership share included college football, Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight With David Muir.
- Although ION, HGTV, Investigation Discovery, Paramount Network and Food Network all move up the chart week-over-week, only Paramount actually had an increase in viewership share (and it was minor: from 1.01% to 1.03%).
- Discovery was the only week-over-week ranking newcomer, inching up from No. 26 to No. 25, with its 0.77% share driven in part by episodes of Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior.
Unsurprisingly, football dominated for TV program watch-time — get the details on TVREV.
