Sabrina Carpenter Contributes To SNL50 Success

Saturday Night Live's 50th anniversary special pulled out all the stops to own the weekend and beyond on social video. As discussed here in the immediate aftermath, the anniversary show was cruising toward a billion views on TikTok just days later, and now a little over a week out, it hit well over 900 million on that platform and hundreds of millions elsewhere as well, according to Tubular Labs data.

One reason, among many, for the strong showing: The contributions of pop star Sabrina Carpenter.

• Carpenter not only sang with Paul Simon at the start of the show, but also appeared during the latest rendition of the popular "Domingo" sketch.
• Looking at the most-viewed TikTok videos from SNL50, Carpenter appeared in five of the top 10 – and all of those were "Domingo"-related.
• In all, 18 different Carpenter videos broke the 1 million views mark, with her being specifically highlighted in nearly 200 different videos.
