Paul Vs. Tyson Fight Is Netflix's Top Promo Of Year (So Far)
Netflix went all-in on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight in advance of last week's big event. Data from iSpot shows just how much the streaming giant focused on the fight, relative to its other TV spots throughout the year.
- At $11.3 million, Netflix's TV promo for last week's Paul vs. Tyson fight has the most national linear spend of any of the streaming service's spots this year – more than twice as much as the next promo and 18.17% of the total for 2024.
- From a household TV ad reach (impressions) standpoint, the promo was 7.89% – also No. 1 for Netflix this year through Nov. 15.
- While Netflix doesn't have a ton of sports content just yet, this was by far the most promoted of those limited options this year; its NFL promo for this year's Christmas Day games were just 1.37% of TV ad impressions from Jan. 1-Nov. 15.
