Over 71% Of Super Bowl Ads Since 2020 Featured Celebrities
Data from iSpot reveals that since 2020, 71.6% of Super Bowl ads have featured at least one celebrity.

The Super Bowl has long featured celebrities, but recent years have shown famous pitch-people become the norm. Data from iSpot reveals that since 2020, 71.6% of Super Bowl ads have featured at least one celebrity.
- In 2010, just 31% of spots featured a celebrity, but that number ballooned to a high of 78% in 2020, and sat at a still-huge 65% during the 2024 edition of the Big Game.
- One celebrity also doesn't seem to be enough anymore, as brands try to hit as many quadrants as possible with star-studded spots; 42% of 2024 Super Bowl ads featured multiple celebrities (vs. just 7% in 2010).
- Female celebs have also been on the rise, as part of a larger effort around broad appeal and the idea of diversifying the number of fans that could find an ad to resonate. While last year saw a slight dip to just 32% of Super Bowl spots including women, that number's still higher than anything pre-2019.
