Olympics Fuels Jump in NBC Weekly Watch-Time
Thanks to coverage around the 2024 Paris Olympics, NBC takes first place on the TV network ranking with a 12.89% viewership share, per Inscape.
Each week, we highlight the most-watched shows and networks using insights from Inscape, the currency-grade smart TV ACR data provider and data technology division of Vizio. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching). Thanks to coverage around the 2024 Paris Olympics, NBC takes first place on the ranking with a 12.89% viewership share, knocking Fox News — the winner from the previous two weeks — down to No. 2 (7.29%).
A few more highlights around the top TV networks by watch-time:
- Other NBCU-owned networks benefited from the Olympics: USA moves from No. 11 to No. 7, while E! rockets up the ranking to No. 20 (it wasn’t among the top 50 networks last time).
- Spanish-language networks see week-over-week increases: Univision takes No. 12 (up from No. 14 previously), while Telemundo rises from No. 19 to No. 15
- Aside from E!, Discovery was the only other week-over-week ranking newcomer, squeaking into the chart at No. 25.
