Netflix Leads Streamers for May Growth in Earned Media Value
Netflix racked up $149.2 million EMV during the month, an 82% increase from its April EMV, per CreatorIQ.
Not only was Netflix the No. 1 video streaming platform by Earned Media Value (EMV) in May, it also saw the highest month-over-month growth, according to an analysis from CreatorIQ. A mix of programming powered this momentum, including The Roast of Tom Brady, buzz around the upcoming Jake Paul/Mike Tyson match and the production kick-off for Wednesday season two. But above all else, it was the streamer’s crown jewel Bridgerton that had EMV skyrocketing.
- Netflix racked up $149.2 million EMV during the month, an 82% increase from its April EMV.
- In total, Bridgerton-related posts racked up $23.5 million EMV for Netflix.
- Bridgerton accounted for two of the top three hashtags by EMV for the month (only #Netflix was ahead), with #Bridgerton generating $16.4 million EMV, and #BridgertonSeason3 delivering $6.8 million.
