Each week, we highlight the most-watched shows and networks using insights from Inscape, the currency-grade smart TV ACR data provider and data technology division of Vizio. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching). Thanks in part to the Open Championship, NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt and America’s Got Talent, NBC rises from third to first place on the network ranking, capturing nearly 7% of minutes watched.

Additional insights around the most-watched networks from July 17-23:

  • ABC remains in second place week-over-week, but increased its viewership share from 6.03% to 6.64%, driven in part by GMA, ABC World News Tonight With David Muir and the CMA Fest primetime concert special.
  • USA Network has the biggest week-over-week ranking increase, moving from No. 13 to No. 7 with its 2.26% of watch-time fueled in part by the Open Championship.
  • Networks that maintain their chart positions but increased viewership compared to the previous week include Fox News, Hallmark, MSNBC, TV Land, Nickelodeon, Oxygen and The CW.
  • TNT is the sole week-over-week ranking newcomer, moving up a single notch from No. 26 to No. 25, with 1.07% of minutes watched.
