NBC No. 1 on Most-Watched TV Networks Ranking
The network captured a 7.13% viewership share for Dec. 18-24.
Each week, we highlight the most-watched shows and networks using insights from Inscape, the currency-grade smart TV ACR data provider and data technology division of Vizio. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching). For the second week in a row, NBC is No. 1 on the chart, although its 7.13% viewership share represents a minor week-over-week decrease (down from 7.33% previously). NFL, Today and The Voice were some of the top programming by watch-time.
A few more insights around the most-watched networks:
- Fox rises from fourth to second place, capturing 6.79% of minutes watched, driven largely by NFL games.
- Multiple cable networks milked viewer appetite for holiday classics leading up to Christmas: Freeform, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and AMC each moved up the ranking compared to the previous week, with watch-time fueled by festival films.
- The sole week-over-week ranking newcomer was Oxygen, up to No. 23 from No. 27 with a 1.11% viewership share. Top programming included Dateline: Secrets Uncovered, Dateline and Snapped.
