For the third week in a row, NBC takes first place on the network ranking, although its viewership share was down to 17.30% from 19.74% previously. Unsurprisingly, watch-time was primarily fueled by Olympics coverage, with other top programs including Today and NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt.
A few more highlights around the top TV networks:
- Fox News remains in second place and increased its viewership share from 5.64% previously to 5.88%. Programs driving watch-time included America's Newsroom with Bill Hemmer & Dana Perino, Fox & Friends and America Reports with John Roberts & Sandra Smith.
- Thanks to preseason games, NFL Network jumps into the chart at No. 15 with 1.13% of minutes watched.
- Additional week-over-week ranking newcomers include Nickelodeon (No. 24) and Bravo (No. 27). Reruns of Friends fueled the former’s rise, while The Real Housewives of New Jersey contributed to Bravo’s increased viewership. Season 14 of RHONJ has been a powerhouse on the advertising side of things as well this summer.
