Hulu racked up $73.8 million in Earned Media Value (EMV) in September, putting it squarely in second place among video streaming platforms, according to an analysis from CreatorIQ. Netflix, meanwhile, remains king with $128.2 million in EMV.
- Across all video streamers, Hulu saw the most notable month-over-month EMV growth, +66% from August to September.
- The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which debuted on September 6, contributed to that growth, with the hashtag #SecretLivesofMormonWives notching $5.9 million in EMV alone.
- While all eight primary cast members grew their social audiences from August to October, Layla Taylor stands out with a 14x rise in TikTok followers and a 22x increase on Instagram.
