Harbor Freight Builds Audience of Over 60 Million Via Social Video
Harbor Freight doesn’t seem like an inherently “social” brand on paper, yet the tool brand used video ads throughout May 2024 to significantly expand its reach. Data from Tubular Labs Audience Ratings data found that:
- Harbor Freight videos were seen by nearly 61 million unique U.S. viewers across YouTube and Facebook – making the company the No. 4 creator for the month, across all genres.
- The brand more than doubled its video uploads (88) vs. any other month in the last two years, and by investing in YouTube advertising, was able to reach over 21% of the country’s population over 13 years old.
- Harbor Freight videos were partly focused on sales (one parking lot sale ad had over 18 million views), as well as a collection of general awareness ads.
- In May, the brand tripled its U.S. social video reach, and saw unique viewers climb by over 60 million vs. last May.
