Fox News continues to win when it comes to TV viewership. It remains in first place week-over-week, and saw its share of minutes watched increase from 8.67% to 10.33%, undoubtedly fueled by coverage of and other commentary around the Republican National Convention, plus President Biden’s Sunday announcement that he’s dropping out of the 2024 election.
Some additional insights around the network ranking:
- NBC moves from fourth to second place, with its 6.83% viewership share driven in part by the 2024 Open Championship, Today and its coverage of the Republican National Convention.
- Thanks largely to its RNC coverage, Newsmax TV jumps into the ranking at No. 22 (up from No. 40), while HBO is another week-over-week ranking newcomer, landing at No. 24 (up from No. 26).
- Univision slips from No. 7 to No. 14, while Telemundo moves up one spot to No. 19.
On the programming side of things, cable news shows continue to garner more watch-time — see the ranking on TVREV.
