Dupixent Dominates Pharma TV Ad Impressions SOV in July
The brand racked up 2.6 billion TV ad impressions with an SOV of 5.07% for the month.
For the third month in a row, Dupixent led for TV ad impressions SOV within the prescription and over-the-counter pharma industry. It spent an estimated $20 million on national TV ads, resulting in 2.6 billion impressions and an impressions SOV of 5.07%, according to iSpot.tv data recently shared with MM+M Online.
Some additional insights around the most-seen OTC/Rx brands for July:
- Skyrizi remains in second place month-over-month, with an impressions SOV of 4.26% and 2.2 billion national TV ad impressions. The brand spent about $23.2 million on TV commercials in July.
- The only OTC drug in the top five was Claritin, with an impressions SOV of 2.40% and an estimated TV ad spend of $4.2 million.
- Talk shows and news programming played a large part in delivering impressions across the board, but some brands are also exploring popular syndicated sitcoms this summer.
