CTV Users Starting Holiday Shopping Earlier Than Last Year

While holiday shopping ads seemingly arrive earlier each year, brands' advanced efforts are backed up by consumer behaviors. Data from LG Ad Solutions' new report, Season's Streamings, unpacks holiday trends among CTV users – and found that shopping is happening much earlier this year than last.

  • 60% of shoppers are starting before Thanksgiving this year, which is a 25% increase over last year.
  • Just as interesting: 37% of CTV users are starting holiday shopping in October or earlier.
  • Despite the early shopping focus, however, 48% of CTV users are anticipating the best deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Coinciding with that thinking, over 80% will shop online during Black Friday, and same for Cyber Monday.
