After over a month in first place, NBC has been dethroned on the TV network ranking by ABC, which moves from No. 3 to No. 1 week-over-week. ABC’s 8.38% viewership share was fueled largely by college football games, and — to a lesser extent — Good Morning America, ABC World News Tonight With David Muir and The Bachelorette.
Some additional insights around the most-watched TV networks:
- Fox News remains in second place but saw its viewership share decline from 6.28% previously to 6.02%.
- Thanks in part to the U.S. Open tennis tournament, ESPN and ESPN2 move up the chart, taking No. 6 and No. 15, respectively.
- Paramount Network jumps into the ranking at No. 19 (up from No. 34 previously), fueled by reruns of Yellowstone.
- TLC was another week-over-week chart newcomer, landing at No. 25 (up from No. 28).
On the programing side of things, college football was the big winner for the week — see the full ranking on TVREV.
