College football's ad footprint has grown this fall on ABC, as games have managed to increase reach (and associated est. national TV ad spend) despite fewer ad minutes year-over-year. iSpot data dives in further below:

  • Household TV ad impressions for college football games on ABC grew by 0.7% year-over-year from Sept. 1-Oct. 10, and from 21.19% of all ABC ad impressions to 21.79%.
  • Meanwhile, ad minutes were down 17.3% YoY, and ad airings dropped by 18.4% (indicating greater reach per airing).
  • As ABC shifts to its "new normal" leaning primarily on ACC, SEC and Big 12 games (without the Big Ten or Pac-12), the ad reach changes are something to watch.
