Chartbeat Acquires Ad Tech Company FatTail
As first reported by Axios on Monday, publisher analytics company Chartbeat has acquired direct advertising technology firm FatTail. The purchase is the third for Chartbeat since the start of 2023 – when it acquired video intelligence company Tubular Labs and ad sales management firm Lineup.
Chartbeat CEO John Saroff had this to say about the news:
"Chartbeat’s unique set of offerings helps our partners grow both their audience and their revenue. We are the only platform that bridges the gap between editorial and sales across all forms of content and monetization. Our clients tell us that they need one source to scale across their entire organization. FatTail furthers our vision to be that source for global enterprise media."
- With the addition of FatTail, Chartbeat now forms a fully-integrated platform supporting all aspects of media/publisher operations ranging from content creation to audience insights, revenue optimization and sales.
- Specifically, FatTail's direct advertising platform will strengthen Chartbeat's ad solutions, empowering publishers to streamline sales, optimize share of ad revenues and create seamless transactions from media buyers to publishers.
- Combining the capabilities of Chartbeat, FatTail, Tubular and Lineup, the larger company effectively addresses the comprehensive media ecosystem in a single tech stack.
