Chargers Score Most NFL YouTube Views
While the Los Angeles Chargers had a rough season on the field, those struggles did not extend to social video. New data from Tubular Labs shows that the Chargers earned more YouTube views than any other team during the NFL's regular season, from Sept. 7, 2023-Jan. 7, 2024, with 80.7 million.
- Beyond the Chargers, regular season success certainly seemed to help drive viewership, as the next five teams by views all made the playoffs.
- Not making the playoffs also appeared to go a long way toward fewer views, as the bottom nine teams by YouTube views all missed the playoffs, and the lowest-ranked team to make the postseason was the Green Bay Packers at No. 23 (6.0 million views).
- Notably the Chargers excelled both in terms of views and volume of posts (874) during the season. The team's most-watched video during the regular season was far and away this short fan video from October, with over 34 million views on its own.
