CBS rises from third to first place week-over-week, with its 8.94% viewership share fueled by NFL games, CBS Mornings, The Price Is Right and 60 Minutes. NBC is close behind (8.39% of watch-time), with top programming including Sunday Night Football, Today and The Voice.
Some additional highlights around the top TV networks:
- The World Series, college football and the NFL helped Fox rise from fourth to third place week-over-week (7.37% of all minutes watched).
- Thanks largely to the opening week of the NBA regular season, TNT jumps into the ranking at No. 21 (0.77% viewership share). It wasn’t among the top 50 networks the previous week.
- With its “Countdown to Christmas” in full swing, Hallmark breaks into the top ten networks at No. 8. Its 1.87% viewership share was driven almost entirely by continuous airings of original holiday movies (both new premieres and reruns from previous years), led by The Christmas Charade, Operation Nutcracker and Scouting for Christmas.
- The same holiday-centric programming strategy is being employed over on Hallmark Mystery, which rises from No. 26 to No. 22 (0.73% viewership share).
The World Series and the NBA make it into the top five on the program ranking, but couldn’t surpass football — get the details on TVREV.
