Beer Advertising Battlegrounds
Modelo's rise to the top of the U.S. beer market is partly due to marketing strategy. Below, iSpot data shows how top beer brands that focused on Spanish-language TV ad impressions this year... and some did so far more than others.
- Five different brands, led by Coarona (33.14%) had at least 25% of 2023 household TV ad impressions delivered in Spanish.
- This is relevant given Modelo's recent rise to the top of the U.S. beer market (as detailed in the WSJ this week).
- Notably, just 6.3% of Bud Light's TV ad impressions this year have been in Spanish (No. 10 among brands with at least 1 billion household ad impressions).
