Basketball Star Caitlin Clark Sees Growth in Instagram Audience, Engagement
Her Instagram followers are up 31% from October, per CreatorIQ.
On March 3, 2024, Iowa Hawkeyes point guard Caitlin Clark officially set an all-time scoring record for both men and women’s NCAA basketball with 3,685 career points, just weeks after she broke the women’s all-time record. With her rise to fame this season, her Instagram audience has also picked up steam, according to data from CreatorIQ:
- Clark has about 1.1 million followers on Instagram with an engagement rate of 26.61%, which CreatorIQ considers “exemplary” (only about 2% of Instagram accounts have that engagement rate).
- Her Instagram audience has grown by 31% since Oct. 2023. Followers skew male (52%), with 43% between the ages of 18 and 24.
- By comparison, the Iowa Women’s Basketball Instagram account has a much more modest 174K followers, but that represents a 58% increase since October, undoubtedly due at least in part to Clark’s popularity. Its engagement rate is an “excellent” 8.61%.
