There were few surprises on Super Tuesday (March 5, 2024), as all signs point to another face-off between President Biden and former President Trump come November. It was a big day for cable news networks — Fox News in particular — as data from Inscape reveals.
- Combined, Fox News, MSNBC and CNN accounted for 11.08% of all live, linear minutes watched on TV on Super Tuesday, higher than their combined daily average of 7.81% (average is September 1, 2023 through March 5, 2024).
- Fox News was overall the No. 1 TV network by watch-time, capturing a 7.29% viewership share and besting CBS (7.20%), ABC (7.04%) and NBC (6.76%).
- Its 7.29% share was notably higher than its average daily share of 4.43%, and over 3x what MSNBC received on Tuesday (2.33%).
