80% of Digital Ad Professionals Utilize AI

Across all industries, AI is changing the way businesses operate — and so quickly that it can be hard to keep up. A recent report from Frequence, a Madhive company, found that local-market ad professionals have jumped on the AI bandwagon to the tune of 80%. But despite the wide adoption, many survey respondents say they feel underprepared to fully utilize the tools, and have a desire for more training.
- Campaign management/workflow automation was the most common use of AI, cited by 59% of respondents, while 53% have harnessed AI for media buying/forecasting.
- One area lagging with AI adoption is the proposal creation phase, with only 34% of professionals using AI for that.
- A notable 73% of respondents feel they aren’t keeping up with the latest in digital ad tech, including programmatic buying, CTV/OTT and omnichannel.
