Several major U.S. TV news publishers saw big boosts on social video in March – though the big stories varied significantly across networks, as data from Tubular Labs’ Audience Ratings showcases.

  • Unique U.S. Facebook and YouTube viewers grew by 26% for ABC News, though the most popular videos on the month were primarily around the Oscars, which aired early in the month. 
  • CNN, meanwhile, saw viewers climb 27% month-over-month primarily on videos around Donald Trump, Joe Biden and Kate Middleton. 
  • CBS News also saw an 8% month-over-month unique viewer increase, though its most-watched videos were largely about the Baltimore bridge collapse.
